There is nothing better than reading a good book during the long days of summer. Whether it’s on the beach, traveling to a new destination or outside on a gorgeous day, summer provides many moments to dive face first into the pages (or screen) of a new novel.
If you are searching for a new book to read, we asked our team what books were on their summer reading list or some of the best books they’ve read to help give you some inspiration!
-
- Anything written by David Sedaris (like Me Talk Pretty One Day or Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls). His short essays can make anybody laugh out loud and reminisce on their own crazy families and childhood. – Paige
-
- A combination of business and fun! Intelligent Leadership, Find Your Why: A Practical Guide to Discovering Purpose for You and Your Team, The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace, Shoe Dog, and Big Little Lies! – Shea
-
- I love to follow Reese Witherspoon on Instagram for book suggestions. She produced Gone Girl and Big Little Lies, and starred in Wild, so I’m always curious to see what she may be reading that could become a movie or TV show. The books on my #RWBookClub list include All is Not Forgotten, Engagements, Pennyroyal Academy (yes, I know it’s a teen series) and Permission to Parent. – Brandi
-
- Magazines! HGTV, Food Network and US Weekly. – Jenn
-
- During the summer, I tend to catch up on health and wellness. Right now I’m reading about hygge (popular books include Hygge: The Danish Art of Happiness and How To Hygge: The Nordic Secrets to A Happy Life). What’s my hygge? I love candles, tea and spending quality time with family, friends and loved ones! – Christina
-
- Anything chick-lit. I couldn’t put down The Luckiest Girl Alive and The Singles Game (from the author of Devil Wears Prada) is next up on my list. – Amy V.
-
- A little organization, business, food and pets! The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, What To Eat by Marion Nestle, The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, How Dogs Love Us by Gregory Berns, Good Manners for Nice People Who Sometimes Say F*CK by Amy Alkon. – Karl
-
- I read Peter Pan by Sir James M. Barrie on repeat. At least once a year. It’s a good reminder that if you try, you may fly and that life is our greatest adventure. – Jessica A
